The delicious sweet of Ayurveda. Laddu is going on summer break. The quality of the Ayurvedic confectionery suffers from large temperature fluctuations and intense heat. That is why we will probably not be offering Laddu during the hot season until August.
This Ayurvedic confection is made according to the original recipe, that is, using ghee instead of butter. The traditional name for Laddu in Ayurveda is "Modak": a preparation that makes the inner body happy.
It was traditionally used as a pilgrim's food. The pilgrims received laddus when they arrived at the holy sites to quickly provide the exhausted body with energy and, on the other hand, to strengthen the mind for the experience of meditation and prayer. In Ayurveda, laddus are considered to be foods with effects: laddus promote "Jathar-Agni" (the digestive fire in the stomach)*.
