Traditional Ayurvedic herbal mousses (Lehams) are among the most popular Ayurvedic products. They are considered Rasayanas - Ayurvedic tonics (not scientifically proven). The respective main active ingredient Ashvagandha, Brahmi or Shatavari is prepared with raw cane sugar, ghee, usually also honey and a range of Ayurvedic herbs and spices to form a tasty, jam-like paste.
According to classical Ayurveda, a Leham is only authentic if the main ingredient is supported in its Ayurvedic effect by other herbs and spices.
