White Sage - Smudge Stick

White sage grows mainly in sunny California and is one of the most powerful plants for cleansing and blessing rooms, living beings or objects. Its scent is rather strong. However, among the native peoples of North America it is considered one of the few plants that carry pure positive energy. Therefore it is used to ward off evil and create a clarified consciousness. It is often associated with the west, the direction of the revered ancestors, the sunset and the spiritual calm of the evening.
