For delicates, wool and silk up to 40 °C; in the washing machine and for hand washing.

Application / Dosage:
4.5 kg washing machine:
Hardness range soft and medium: 60 ml
Hardness range hard: 90 ml

Pour into the detergent compartment of the machine. Do not spray the detergent concentrate onto the dry laundry. This could change the color of delicate fabrics.

1 liter of olive detergent for wool and silk is sufficient for 17 washes in the soft and medium hardness range, with a filling quantity of approx. 2.5 kg.

Down jackets and pillows:
Down tolerates detergents for wool and silk quite well. Important: when drying, down must be constantly moved so that it does not stick together.
Unless otherwise stated, proceed as follows:

  • Select gentle wash cycle for 30 °C laundry
  • Use Sonett olive detergent for wool and silk without softener
  • Set additional rinse cycle
  • Only spin very gently
  • Tumble dry at low temperature and low load
  • When drying on the line, down must be shaken out again and again.

Hand wash:
Add 15-30 ml per 5 litres of water to the running water, then put the laundry items in. Move gently. Adjust the temperature of the rinsing water to the washing water to avoid temperature shocks.

Sonett laundry rinser:
Add to the fabric softener compartment; refreshes delicate colors, helps rinse out detergent residues and smoothes the fibers.

Origin and properties of the ingredients:

Olive soap: The fruits from centuries-old olive groves in the Mediterranean region of Italy, Spain and Greece are used to extract olive oil of controlled organic quality using mechanical processes such as pressing and centrifuging. Saponified with potassium hydroxide, it forms the main ingredient in Sonett olive detergent for wool and silk. Olive oil is the best raw oil for a mild, moisturizing soap. Its balanced fatty acid composition, its healing, balancing effect on the heart and circulation and the remarkable development of the olive tree plant in a 7-year cycle show the special closeness and relationship of this oil to people.

Rapeseed oil soap/sunflower oil soap: Vegetable oil saponified with potassium hydroxide serves to increase the washing power. Along with flax and sunflowers, rapeseed is one of the few oil crops that are grown in our temperate Central European climate to produce oil, also in controlled organic quality.

Ethanol is obtained by fermenting starchy plants such as corn and potatoes. Ethanol helps keep the soap liquid and at the same time improves the grease-dissolving power of the detergent.

Sugar surfactant: Sugar, starch and coconut oil are the raw materials for the sugar surfactant used. The proportion of sugar surfactant is adjusted to the soap content of the detergent so that it serves to keep the lime soap that forms in hard water finely distributed in suspension and prevent it from settling on the laundry.

Product feature:
In this product, valuable pressed olive oil is processed into a soap that has excellent cleaning, care and moisturizing properties for textiles made of wool and silk. The sugar surfactant creates a soap-based detergent for delicates that is easy to handle even in hard water and retains all the positive properties of a soap detergent.
The olive oil, rapeseed oil and sunflower oil as well as the essential lavender oil come from 100% controlled organic farming.

Technical data:
Density: (20 °C) approx. 1.02 g / cm³
pH value: (20 °C, 5 g / l H2O) approx. 8.5-9.5

At temperatures below 10 °C, the product changes and becomes somewhat firmer and cloudy, which disappears again in the heat, possibly by gently shaking.

ecology
Biodegradation:
Soap made from vegetable oils has the outstanding feature of combining with the lime that is always present in wastewater to form lime soap immediately after use. This neutralizes the surface-active effect that attacks aquatic life within a few hours (primary degradation). The lime soap is then 100% broken down by microorganisms into carbon dioxide and water (secondary degradation). Ethanol is infinitely miscible with water and is reintegrated into the natural cycle within a few hours. In the production process of sugar surfactants, parts of the plant-based raw materials, starch, sugar and fat, are removed, but their natural structure is completely preserved. It is therefore relatively easy for the microorganisms to break down these surfactants quickly and completely to 100%.

According to the OECD, soap and sugar surfactants are considered easily biodegradable.
