Origin and properties of the ingredients:
The main active ingredient in Sonett detergent is organic soap, which is made from various vegetable oils (organic rapeseed oil, organic sunflower oil, organic coconut oil and organic palm oil) by boiling with lye. Organic soap as a detergent substance combines in a unique way all the properties necessary for the washing process of wetting, dissolving and carrying dirt. Sugar surfactant: Sugar, starch and coconut fat are the raw materials for the sugar surfactant used. It supports the soap in its fat-dissolving power and ensures that the lime soap and dirt that forms in hard water are kept in suspension in a finely distributed manner. The third active ingredient is organic panamarine. A highly effective and color-preserving anti-stain agent is obtained from the bark of the South American tree (Quillaja saponaria) by means of an aqueous extract, which develops its cleaning power even at low temperatures. Soda is made from the reaction of lime with table salt. Silicates are formed by fusing quartz sand and soda. Soda and silicates both strengthen the washing solution through their alkalinity and promote the removal of fatty substances in particular. Zeolite and citrate, the salt of citric acid, both bind the lime in the water and prevent deposits on machines and textiles. Zeolite is made from the easily accessible raw materials water glass and sodium aluminate. It captures the water hardness-forming substances according to the principle of ion exchange.
Calcium and magnesium ions are released, thus preparing soft water for washing. Citrate, obtained by fermenting sugary byproducts such as molasses, binds the lime, especially at low temperatures.

Product feature:

A highly concentrated powder detergent for all coloured and delicate items. With organic panamarine extract, which is famous for its effective stain-removing power. No lime binders from petroleum chemistry such as polyaspartic acid, only with the natural salt of citric acid. For all water hardnesses, no separate softener required.

Ecology:
Biodegradation:
Soap made from vegetable oils has the special feature compared to all other detergents that immediately after use it combines with the lime that is always present in wastewater to form lime soap, thereby neutralizing its surface-active effect on aquatic organisms (primary degradation). The lime soap is then quickly broken down 100% by microorganisms into carbon dioxide and water (secondary degradation).
During the manufacturing process of sugar surfactants, coconut fatty alcohol sulfate and sulfated castor oil, parts of the plant-based raw materials starch, sugar and fat are removed, but their natural structure is completely preserved. It is therefore relatively easy for the microorganisms to break down these surfactants completely to 100%. The remaining components of the detergent, soda, sodium bicarbonate, zeolite and silicates, are mineral substances that do not need to be broken down further in nature. Soap, sugar surfactants and citrate are considered to be easily biodegradable according to the OECD.
